1Set it up once

Send your school's email our way.

You get a private Fridge Scout address. Add one forwarding rule in Gmail, set to your school's domain only, and you're done. That's the last setup you'll ever do.

About two minutes. Gmail asks you to confirm the address — we take care of that step.

2Then stop thinking about it

Every date lands on your calendar by itself.

The teacher, the front office, the principal, the PTA, the coach. Whatever they send, the dates inside it show up on your Apple or Google calendar — with the right kid's name in front of each one.

You never open Fridge Scout. That's the whole idea.

Questions parents actually ask

Do I have to give you my email password?

No. You never hand over a password, and we never sign in to your mailbox. You set up a forwarding rule inside your own email — the same one you'd use to forward mail to a spouse — and you can switch it off yourself at any time without asking us.

Does it work with Apple Calendar?

Yes. Every date arrives as a normal calendar invite, so one tap adds it to whatever your phone already uses — Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, or Outlook. There's nothing to connect and nothing to switch to.

What if it gets a date wrong?

It asks first. If a date is even slightly unclear, it's held back and shown to you for one tap instead of going on your calendar. We'd rather miss one you can add yourself than put a wrong date in front of your family — once you can't trust it, you're back to checking everything by hand.

Do you read my personal email?

Only what you forward. You choose which senders forward — normally just your school's domain — so nothing else ever reaches us. And we don't keep what we do read: the message is processed in memory and thrown away. Only the date, title, and a short note are stored.

What about my second and third kid?

Same price. Every event arrives labeled with the right child's name, so a shared family calendar stays readable. Big families are the whole point — charging per child would punish exactly the people this helps most.

My school still sends paper home.

Most do, and that's what the camera is for. Two ways: open Fridge Scout and snap it, or — usually easier — take a photo with your normal camera and email it to your Fridge Scout address. We save that address to your phone as a contact called "Scout", so it autocompletes after two letters. Works on a flyer, the homework sheet, the sports schedule, a birthday invitation, or a poster you walk past at the Y.

What's actually free?

Everything, and for the first 100 families it stays that way for good. Every teacher, the office, the principal, the PTA, soccer, scouts, dance, camp — anything that sends you a date. Every kid, at every school. Unlimited photos of paper. No card now and no card ever, because founding families are never charged.

What happens after the first 100?

Fridge Scout becomes $49 for the school year — one payment, no subscription, nothing to cancel. Everyone still starts free and without a card; we only ask once it has actually put ten real dates on your calendar, so you can see exactly what you'd be paying for before you decide. Founding families are never asked at all.

My school uses ParentSquare. Does that work?

Yes, and so does ClassDojo, Remind, Seesaw, Smore, or whatever else your district sends through. There's no limit on where dates come from — a party invitation forwarded from another parent's Gmail works exactly the same way as an email from the principal.
