What Fridge Scout does

We read school communications you send us — forwarded emails and photographed documents — find the dates in them, and put those dates on your calendar. That is the whole service.

What it doesn't do

Fridge Scout is a convenience, not a system of record. Automated reading is not perfect: we may miss a date, and occasionally we may get one wrong. When we are not confident, we hold the date and ask you rather than guessing — but you remain responsible for your family's schedule. Please don't rely on us alone for something that matters a great deal.

Free plan and billing

• Fridge Scout is free for one source organization — one school, camp, or league — with no time limit and no card required. The free plan covers unlimited children and unlimited dates from that one source.
• Paid plans are $4.99 per month or $39 per year and lift the source limit. There is no trial, so you are never charged without choosing to subscribe first.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account page — no phone call, no email to us — and you keep the paid plan until the end of the period you have paid for.
• Cancelling stops future charges. It does not delete your captured dates.
• If a payment fails we'll email you and retry. If it keeps failing we pause capturing new dates. We never delete what you already have.
• Payments are processed by Square. We never see your card number.

Your account

You must be 18 or older. Keep your forwarding address to yourself — anyone who has it can send mail into your account. You can regenerate it at any time from your account page, which immediately disables the old one.

Acceptable use

Use Fridge Scout for your own family's school communications. Don't use it to process other people's mail without their knowledge, and don't try to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.

Ending things

You can stop using Fridge Scout whenever you like. We may suspend an account that abuses the service or doesn't pay. If we ever shut the service down, we'll give you reasonable notice and a way to export your dates.

The legal bit

Fridge Scout is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the previous twelve months. Nothing here removes rights you have under consumer law where you live.
